Course Description:

Dive into the world of robotics and artificial intelligence with our engaging online live classes. This course is specially designed for young enthusiasts willing to step into the realm of technology through hands-on learning. Using the friendly Otto Wheel Robot kit, students will explore the basics of robotics and AI through interactive projects and a user-friendly block coding interface.


Who Can Join:

 

Beginners (Grade 3-6): No prior experience required.

Course Outcome:

 

  • Understand the fundamentals of robotics and AI.
  • Complete four robot projects and four AI projects.
  • Gain experience with block coding for robotics.
  • Learn to assemble and control the Otto Wheel Robot.
  • Develop skills in problem-solving and logical thinking.

 

Curriculum

Day 1: Introduction to Robotics with Otto Kit

 

  • Welcome and course overview.
  • Introduction to the components of the Otto Wheel Robot kit.
  • Discussion of the projects and expected outcomes.
  • Overview of the agenda for the entire training.

Day 2: Setting Up for Success

 

  • Guide through the software installation process.
  • Introduction to the basic software tools needed for the course.
  • Engaging in preliminary tasks to familiarize with the software.

Day 3: Project 1 – Robotics: Path Following and Musical Otto

 

  • Detailed assembly instructions for the Otto Wheel Robot.
  • Introduction to block coding principles.
  • Step-by-step project building: Path Following Robot and Musical Otto.
  • Demonstration and testing of completed projects.

 

Day 4: Project 2 – Robotics: Obstacle Avoiding Robot

 

  • Continued assembly for advanced functionalities.
  • Advanced block coding for obstacle detection and navigation.
  • Creation and demonstration of the Obstacle Avoiding Robot project.

 

Day 5: Project 3 – Robotics: Emoji Robot and Mobile Control Robot

 

  • Final assembly touches for expressive and remote-controlled operations.
  • Block coding for emotive displays and mobile integration.
  • Construction and showcase of the Emoji Robot and Mobile Control Robot projects.

 

Day 6: AI Introduction and Projects: Face and Emotion Detection

 

  • Introduction to AI concepts and real-world applications.
  • Exploration of AI software and tools.
  • AI Project 1: Face Detection with name recognition.
  • AI Project 2: Emotion Detection project development and demonstration.

 

Day 7: AI Projects: Object and Gesture Detection & Course Wrap-Up

 

  • AI Project 3: Developing skills in Object Detection.
  • AI Project 4: Creating a Gesture Recognition system.
  • Comprehensive revision session and an open forum for doubts and questions.
